Save Our Children has
saviors of its own

To the Editor:
Save Our Children would like to thank the many people who worked together to find
us a new home.
Save Our Children was homeless for a while, and with the high cost of rent, we
could not find a home to service our clients without taking away from their needs.
However, we were fortunate enough to have our problem solved by people who truly
care about their community and the children living in it.
With the help of state Sen. Fred Berry and his chief of staff, Vic DiGravio, we
were able to locate an office that not only was perfect, but in a great location.
Behind the scenes, they worked with Salem State College and received approval
from President Harrington, Dr. Cahill and Bruce Perry of Salem State. With everyone
coming together to help the children, we were able to provide toys to over 450
children this holiday season. The new location will now provide for over 125 children
per week — our children's food pantry.
We appreciate everyone's help immensely. Words can not express what we feel or
what they did for Save Our Children and the children of the community. Sen. Berry,
his office and Salem State all came together and helped us more than we could
have wished for.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
